Akron Recycling Center requires that all returns be packaged properly to avoid damage during shipment. We can not pay for cartridges that are damaged. If you have any packing questions, please contact us directly to avoid potential problems. Here are some general instructions for packing laser cartridges WITH original shipping material, laser cartridges WITHOUT original shipping material and injet cartridges: Laser cartridges WITH original shipping material If all the cartridges are packed in their original shipping materials and a skid is not available, you can tape the boxes together. Do not try to tape more than 2 rows of boxes stacked 5 boxes high. This will produce a package of 10 cartridges. If all the cartridges are packed in their original shipping materials and a skid is not available, you can place the boxes in a larger box. Protect them adequately with peanuts, cardboard, or newspaper. If all the cartridges are packed in their original shipping materials, the best shipping method is stacking them on a skid and shrink wrapping the skid. NEVER put more than one cartridge in an original box when shipping on a skid.Laser cartridges WITHOUT original shipping material If original shipping materials are not available, your cartridges can be packed in a larger box. Protect the cartridges adequately with cardboard, peanuts or newspaper. Do not STUFF the box. If the cartridges are tightly packed they will be damaged during shipping. Akron Recycling Center can not pay for damaged cartridges.Inkjet cartridges [Please DO NOT use bubble wrap to individually wrap cartridges as moisture may build up inside and cause damage.]Inkjet cartridges should be individually wrapped in the original boxes or in newspaper and packed in a larger box. Make sure that each cartridge is adequately protected. Do not STUFF the box. If the cartridges are tightly packed they will be damaged during shipping.
